Main characters – Dragon Ball Z

The Dragon Ball series’ main characters comprise an ensemble cast. Most people know Goku from the Dragon Ball series. To locate the Dragon Balls, he and Bulma team up with the Dragon Team at the beginning of the series. Following the revelation of the truth about Goku’s ancestry, Saiyan characters take the front stage in Dragon Ball Z and onwards. Bardock and Trunks from another future timeline are the main characters of their respective side stories, and Goku’s son Gohan momentarily replaces the series protagonist following the Cell Games Saga. Vegeta is a co-protagonist in Dragon Ball Super.

1. Son Goku

Originally presented as a small child, Son Goku (孫悟空, Son Gokū) is shown as being incredibly strong, pure of heart, and fiercely competitive yet committed to protecting his adopted home,, Eart,h, from either internal or outside threats. Though he seems human, it turns out that Goku is a Saiyan with Kakarrot as his original naThe The main character and protagonist of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga and anime television series. He is one of the remaining members of the Saiyan race. While still a newborn, he was sent to destroy the planet Earth. When he first arrived, he was an aggressive child because of his warrior nature. However, he lost his memory due to an accident. He developed into a contented and affectionate youngster. He received training to become a proficient martial artist and the world’s best defender.

2. Bulma

Bulma’s family runs the Capsule Corporation. Bulma is Goku and Krillin’s pal. Like her father, she works as a scientist. Vegeta is her spouse. They are parents of two kids.First seen as a teen using the Dragon Radar, a fictional tool she developed to find the energy signal emitted by Dragon Balls, Bulma (ブルマ, Buruma) The signal from the four-star ball leads her to Goku’s whereabouts; she hires him as a bodyguard and hopes to have her four-star ball grant her wish for a boyfriend. She gives up on the wish after seeing Yamcha, and much later in the series, she marries Vegeta. Bulma has also taken on the role of inventor and has regularly given Goku and his friends with their battles against different enemies and threats vital tech support. Among her most famous inventions are a microband that could make her shrink and a time machine that brought her son from an other future timeline, Trunks, back to the past several times.

3.Krillin

In the Dragon Ball universe, Krillin is the strongest person. He is short and bald, with a six-dot forehead tattoo. His attire typically bears the name of the Turtle Hermit School. Krillin has a daughter and is married. He finally developed hair following the cell games.

Krillin (クリリン, Kuririn) is Goku’s best friend and one of the best martial artists in the world. He and Goku are initially adversaries but ultimately end up becoming friends and a loyal adventure partner under the tutelage of Master Roshi, a monk who shaves his head for training. Shenron revives King Piccolo after Tambourine, his spawn, kills him. After the fight with the Saiyans, he travels to Planet Namek, where Frieza kills him. He assists during the Android and Cell arcs after being revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls  He is married to Android 18 and has a daughter named Marron (マーロン, Māron).

4.Pi ccolo

Piccolo is the son and reincarnation of Namekian Piccolo Daimaō. He was made to get even with Goku for killing his father. In the end, he abandoned his ambition to rule Earth and sided with Goku and the Z-Fighters as friends and allies. He also appears to be close to Goku’s son Gohan, treating him almost as a second father. The Hellzone Grenade, Light Grenade, and Special Beam Cannon are some of Piccolo’s signature moves.

King Piccolo created Piccolo (ピッコロ, Pikkoro), the “evil half” of Kami, to avenge Goku’s death. However, after narrowly losing to Goku, he must fight alongside him and his allies against the invading Saiyans, which includes training Goku’s son Gohan. He turns out to be a Namekian, a demonic, green-skinned, hairless, four-fingered humanoid species that created the Dragon BBallvideo game series. After dying as a sacrifice to save Gohan during the battle against the Saiyan Nappa, he trains in the afterlife under King Kai before being wished back to life by the Namekian Dragon Balls. Even though he maintains the alliance during the fights with Frieza and the Androids, he has accepted that they are allies by the time of the Cell and Majin Buu arcs.

5.Son Gohan

The first of Goku and Chichi’s children, Son Gohan, was a half-Human, half-Saiyan man with immense power. He has frequently answered the call to defend Earth despite having been brought up as a scholar rather than a warrior like his father. He is the most powerful non-fused fighter in the Dragon Ball Z universe by the end of the series. He is Pan’s father and Videl’s spouse. He is Bardock’s grandfather and Ox King’s grandfather, and Goten’s older brother. (Goku and Chichi’s fathers)

With Chichi, Goku’s eldest son with whom first shows up at four years old, is Son Gohan (��悟飯). Raditz, Goku’s brother,kidnapsg himand  locks him in a space pod. But his rage explodes, and he bolts from the space pod, damaging Raditz and rendering himself unconscious. Piccolo sees Korra’s promise and takes and trains him for a year following the war. At one tim,e holding his own against Frieza, Gohan gradually rises to be among the strongest characters in the series and finally kills Cell. Following the Majin Buu arc, he wed Videl, with whom he subsequentlhadas a daughter called Pan.

6.Trunks

Before Goku returns to Earth from Planet Namek, Trunks (トランクス, Torankusu) makes his debut as a mysterious young man who easily defeats Frieza and his father, King Cold. He is revealed to be the future child of Vegeta and Bulma, who has gone back in time to tell Goku about the Red Ribbon Androids’ arrival. During his time, the Red Ribbon Androids killed every other member of the Dragon Team except Goku, who passed away from heart disease. The History of Trunks television special tells the story of Trunks. Before going back to his timeline, he assists in the battle against Cell and the Androids. The character also makes an appearance in Super Dragon Ball Heroes and returns in Dragon Ball Super to ask the heroes of the main timeline for help.

The Trunks from the main timeline of the series were born just as the Androids arrived. Trunks, who can already transform into Super Saiyan at his age, battles Majin Buu seven years later as a child by fusing with his best friend Goten to create the composite Gotenks (ゴテンクス, Gotenkusu)

7.Vegeta

Throughout the course of the Dragon Ball series, Vegeta—once the Prince of all SaiPrinceent from being a supervillain to an anti-hero and then a hero. Vegeta is a remarkable fighting genius who has been training since he was a young child and has always had a natural aptitude for martial arts and chi control. He is one of the last pure Saiyans from the planet Vegeta still alive. One of the main characteristics of Vegeta’s personality is his fixation with outperforming Goku.

The last prince of the SaiPrincerrior people, Vegeta (ベzagait, Bejīta,,) is the fourth generation of the Saiyan royal bloodline to carry his namesake. Using their scouters, he first shows conquering a planet with his partner Na,,ppa listening to Raditz’s fight on Earth. He ends up fighting a recently resurrected Goku after the two of them arrive on Earth in search of the Dragon Balls and withdraws after continuous attacks by Yajirobe, Krillin, and Gohan. He runs away to,, heal then travels to Planet Namek to gather Dragon Balls before Frieza can.Vegeta battles and murders numerous of Frieza’s underlings while on Namek. Later on, he is compelled to fight off Frieza by teaming with Gohan, Goku, Piccolo, and Krillin. Vegeta resides on Earth following Frieza’s defeat and develops a relationship with Bulma. It is discovered he has produced a son with Bulma,, Trunks when the Androids show up. Later in the series, he and Bulma have a younger daughter namBlura ( blu, Bura), known as Bulla in the English dub; unlike her father and brother, and despite being half-Saiyan, she shows noto fightfighting.

8.Shenron

Shenron in Funimation’s anime dub, also known as the Eternal Dragon in the Ocean and Funimation dubs, also known as the Dragon God in the Harmony Gold dub, is the wish-granting dragon that is called forth when all seven of Earth’s Dragon Balls are gathered together. Over the series, several rules for using the Dragon Balls and constraints on Shenron’s strength are detailed. After the wish is granted, the balls scatter over the planet, change to stone, lose their value for a year, and go invisible to Bulma’s Dragon Radar. Furthermore, should Shenron die, the Dragon Balls lose their value and must be rebuilt by their creator. Unless Shenron can be brought back to life by another creator, the Dragon Balls will likewise become inactive if their creator passes away. Shenron cannot grant wishes more than his creator’s capacity, including the one to wipe out the Saiyans before they landed on Earth. [ Halfway through the show, the Namekians—including Earth’s Kami—show themselves to have created the Dragon Balls. [ One can only be revived once, and only if they did not die from natural causes. Kami re-merges with Piccolo until Dende takes on the position of God, leaving Godth without Dragon Balls momentarily. [ Dende’s reconstruction of Earth’s Dragon Balls lets two wishes be made simultaneously, yet each wish still has the power to instantly bring back multiple people. Except for episodes 192 and 193 in the series and the films, when Masaharu Satō voices Shenron,, Kōji Yada in the Dr. Slump adaptation,, and Ryūzaburō Ōtomo following episode 97 of Kai, Shenron is voiced by Kenji Utsumi in the Japanese version of the series until his death in 2013. Christopher Sabat voices him in the Funimation dub and Don Brown in the Ocean dub in English.

Shenron’s Namekian equivalent is Porunga (untu Ginga, Namekian for “God of Dreams”). Porunga has a dorsal fin down his back and a big, strong humanoid upper body while the Dragon Balls are larger than Earth. Shenron is not able to do; he is able trevive revive only one person at a ti,me, but can do it repeatedly. Besides, the user must speak in Namekian and he can grant three wishes instead of only one. The Great Elder of the planet created Porunga and the Namekian Dragon Balls; each of the six balls was given to another elder but one for himself. When the Namekian Dragon Balls are used in the fight with Majin Buu, Porunga gains an improvement and can grant three wishes while wishing back several people concurrently at once. With the exception of episode 283, where he is portrayed by Daisuke Gōri, Masaharu Satō in the video games and Junpei Takiguchi in the Japanese version of the series voice Porunga. Following Kai Daisuke Gōri’s death, Ryūzaburō Ōtomo assumed the part in Dragon Ball. Christopher Sabat voices the Funimation dub series.

Dragon Ball Super presents Super Shenron (超gyn, Sūpā Shenron) and the Super Dragon Balls, scattered over Universes 6 and 7. The Super Dragon Balls, which are planetary in scale and grant one request at a time but only if they are stated in the language of the gods, were created by the Dragon God Zalama (owicz, Zarama). Using bits of the original game, the Namekians created their own Super Dragon Balls on Namek. Super Shenron has voices from English Christopher Sabat and Japanese Ryūzaburō Ōtomo.

Secondary characters – dragon ball z

9.Yamcha

Introduced as a desert bandit alongside his friend Puar, trying to steal Goku and Bulma’s Dragon Balls, Yamcha (YOUDMACH, Yamucha), known as Zedaki in the Harmony Gold Dub, is a Near woman; he starts to get anxious.[ch. 8, 9] Eventually, he starts a relationship with Bulma, becomes an ally of Goku, and then studies under Master Roshi. With a physical barrage of punches and palm strikes ending with a double palm strike, his signature attack is the Rōgafūfūken (狼�風風拳, “Fist of the Wolf Fang,” renamed “Wolf Fang Fist” in the Funcium dub). Under Master Roshi, Yamcha gains the Kamehameha and develops the Sōkidan (繰気弾, “Spinning Chi Bullet”), an energy sphere guided by psychokinesis. Later on, he also trains under Kami in readiness for the approaching Saiyan invasion, but one of their Saibamen kills him. He trained under King Kai in the hereafter before the Namekian Dragon Balls wished him back to life. He stays a consistent Dragon Team member but progressively loses activity later in the series.

10.Master Roshi

Living on a small island, lecherous elderly martial arts master instructor Kame-Sen’nin (亀仙人, “Turtle Hermit”), also known as Muten-Rōshi (武天送owicz, lit “Martial Arts Genius Master”), or “Master Roshi” in the English translations, developed the Kamehameha technique. He taught Goku and Krillin Grandpa Gohan and Ox-King , and some others. Umigame (untu GPA, “Sea Turtle”), his talking sea turtle friend, usually follows him trying to highlight his flaws. Apart from Korin’s additional teaching, Master Roshi was guided by Master Mutaito (武泰斗), who also trained his opponent and former cohortian Tsuru-Sen’nin (鶴仙人, “Crane Hermit”). Under a pseudonym, Master Roshi dons a wig, tosses his sunglasses, and goes by “Jackie Chun” (jongkyī Chun) when he competes in the World Martial Arts Tournament.

11.Chiaotzu

Chiaotzu in the English anime dub is a little human that resembles a jiangshi with pale skin, red cheeks, and one hair under his cap. Chiaotzu isan  expert with psychokinesis and telepath,y even though he is not physically strong. Having been taught by Master Roshi’s rival Master Shen, Chiaotzu first appears at the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament trying to kill Goku and his fellow-students. Tien Shinhan leaves Master Shen and joins Goku and his allies to fight King Piccolo after he determines his lessons are erroneous. Chiaotzu is killed by King Piccolo while attempting to fulfil his wish for perpetual youth after helping Tien Shinhan and Master Roshi locate the Dragon Balls,, but he is subsequently revived with the Dragon Balls. He purposefully self-destructs on Nappa in the fight against the Saiyans to save Tien Shinhan.Before the Namekian Dragon Balls revive him, he trains in the afterlife under King Kai. When the other characters assemble for Frieza’s return, Chiaotzu joins them; Trunks kills Frieza before a battle starts. From that point on, Chiaotzu is usually not involved in combat; still, he keeps training with Tien Shinhan. Except in Kai onwards, Brina Palencia voices him; Hiroko Emori in Japanese, Rebecca Forstadt in the Harmony Gold dub, Cathy Weseluck in the Ocean dub, and Monika Antonelli in Funcium’s dub.

12.Tien Shinhan

Originally an adversary of Goku in the first Dragon Ball series, Tien Shinhan later changed his ways and became a useful member of the Z-Fighters in their numerous conflicts with evildoers who threatened Earth’s security and tranquility. First introduce,d having been trained by Master Roshi’s rival Master Shen, trying to kill Goku and hisfellow studentss, Tenshinhan (天津hedon)—named Tien Shinhan in the Funimation anime dub—also known as Shinto in the Harmony Gold dub. Later on, he and Chiaotzu ally themselves to fight against King Piccolo’s minion until Goku shows up. Tien Shinhan passes away from weariness against Nappa in the struggle with the Saiyans. Before the Namekian Dragon Balls revive him, he trains in the afterlife under King Kai. Though he assists during the battles against the Androids and Cell, Tien Shinhan mostly stays out of fighting until Frieza’s return and subsequently the Tournament of Power.

13.Android 18

Android 18 (人怠人斓18号, Jinzōningen Jū Hachi Gō, lit. “Artificial Human #18”) is a Red Ribbon Android that  developedDoctor Gero developed. It is the sibling of Android 17. After being freed, she sets out to track down and murder Goku with Androids 16 and 17, but Cell and the Dragon Team repeatedly halt them. Eventually, she and 17 are absorbed by Cell, but later on in the Cell Games, Gohan delivers a forceful blow that causes Cell to regurgitate her. Krillin can remove her self-destruct mechanism, but he cannot wish for her to be transformed into a human. She marries Krillin, and eventually they have a daughter called Marron (マーロン, Māron). 18 keeps showing up as a supporting character and later engages in combat for Team Universe 7 during the Tournament of Power storyline.

14.Son Goten

Among the most well-liked characters in the series is Goten. According to a 2004 survey, Goten was ranked sixth among Dragon Ball series characters by Japanese fans. IGN’s Top 13 Dragon Ball Z Characters List ranks Goten at number 13 , and Complex.com’s “A Ranking of All the Characters on ‘Dragon Ball Z'” lists the character in sixth place. Son Goten (孫悟天, Son Goten), or simply Goten in the FUNimation version, is a fictional character that appears in both the manga Dragon Ball and the anime Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. Son Goten is the second son of Son Goku and Chi Chi, and the younger brother of Son Gohan. He is also Pan’s uncle. He became the youngest Super Saiyan in history when he reached Super Saiyan status at the young age of 7.

According to Sheldon Pearce, Goten primarily appears in pairs with Trunks, the more assertive of the . Theirbond makes them highly compatible for the fusion technique.

Son Goten (孫悟天) is Goku and Chichi’s youngest child. As a teenager at the end of the series, Goten’s appearance has changed to include a shirt bearing his name and a longer, shaggier hairstyle. When he first appears, Goten looks a lot like his father, with the same hairstyle and similar clothes Gohan, Goten’s older brother, trained him for their father’s attendance at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. Compared to Gohan’s own childhood, Goten has been training with their mother, so Gohan finds out during the training that he is already fairly strong and capable of becoming a Super Saiyan even though he is still a child.He is capable of using the Kamehameha technique, just like a number of the series’ characters.

15.Bardock

Gine (ギネ) is married to Bardock (バーダック, Bādakku), also known as Burdock in Viz’s English manga translation. He is the father of Raditz and Kakarrot (Goku). Toriyama’s 2014 Dragon Ball Minus: The Departure of the Fated Child special and Dragon Ball Super: Broly both retell Bardock’s story, which was first shown in Toei Animation’s 1990 Dragon Ball Z TV special. Additionally, he starred in the animated short film adaptation of Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock, which was adapted from the 2011 spin-off manga.

16.Whis

Whis (Uisu), an angelic creature, appears in Dragon Ball Super as well as the fourteenth and fifteenth Dragon Ball Z films. He is a tall, teal humanoid with pronounced feminine features who is an Angel (天使, Tenshi), a being of extremely high status in the universe hierarchy. Each Angel has a duty to serve the God of Destruction in their respective universes as personal attendants and guides. Their role is to protect their deity, and they may intervene to keep them in line, so they are rarely left alone. Whis is frequently depicted as possessing unparalleled strength and speed, which enable him to easily fend off attackers. It is also revealed that he and his fellow angels possess Ultra Instinct (身勝㉋みがっての㥵ㄏごくい, Migatte no Goku’i, lit. “Secret of self-centredness”), a technique that is notoriously difficult to master even among deities. His training of Goku and Vegeta foreshadows this capacity to respond to attacks on its own without the mind interfering, and Goku later unexpectedly but momentarily demonstrates this capacity in the Tournament of Power.

17.Beerus

The deity Beerus (, Birusu) makes appearances in Dragon Ball Super and the fourteenth and fifteenth Dragon Ball Z movies. He is a God of Destruction, a purple cat-like creature whose job it is to keep the universe in balance by destroying planets, civilisaticivilizationsde threats that jeopardisejeopardizeess. To fight Beerus, Son Goku changes into the Super Saiyan God. He loses, but Beerus spares him and the Earth. After accepting a challenge from his brother and fellow God of Destruction, Champa, Beerus later assembles a team of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Buu, and a tiny, red humanoid alien named Monaka (モナカ) to compete in the Tournament of Destroyers. Later,too compete in the Tournament of Power, which is hosted by the supreme deity Zeno, Beerus assembles a second squad of prominent combatants from Universe 7. On his home planet, he has been in charge of Goku and Vegeta’s training ever since.

18. Glorio

In Dragon Ball Daima, a demon gunman named Glorio (グロリオ Gurorio) acts as the protagonists’ pilot and guide. Glorio first appears as a spy in the palace of the first Demon World. He has light blue skin and pointed ears, which arefeaturese shared by all demons. Glorioupdatese Dr. Arinsu, Goku’s covert employer throughout the adventure, on their progress after reaching specific milestones, like acquiring a Dragon Ball.

Because of their shared status as pilots and morally dubious outlaws, Glorio has been likened to Han Solo from the Star Wars film series. Glorio’s use of lightning has been likened to Palpatine’s force lightning abilities, and a scene in Daima that featured him was likened to the cantina scene from the original Star Wars movie.

Antagonists

19.P ilaf Gang

The leader of the Pilaf Gang (ピラフ一味, Pirafu Ichimi), Pilaf (ピラフ, Pirafu), also known as Emperor Pilaf in the English anime dub, is a diminutive, mischievous, blue creature who aspires to rule the world. Together with his two goons, Shu (シュウ, Shū), a humanoid dog dressed as a ninja, and Mai (マイ), a woman who uses technology and weapons to counterbalance her colleagues’ clumsy demeanours, he seeks the Dragon Balls to wish for world dominance. When he first appeared, Toriyama gave him the name “Soba” (ソバ). However, when the series was being turned into an anime, the staff asked him what his name was, and he mistook it for Shu. When the character reappeared in the manga, he chose to use Shu because the anime had already aired by the time he realised hrealized. For Mystical Adventure, he is voiced by Mike McFarland in the Funimation dub, Sharon Mann in the AB Groupe dub, and Apollo Abraham in the Creative dub. Shigeru Chiba in Japanese, Dave Mallow in the Harmony Gold dub, Don Brown in the BLT dub, Chuck Huber in the Funimation dub, and Dean Galloway in the Blue Water dub.

Tesshō Genda in Japanese, Dave Mallow in Harmony Gold, Doug Parker in BLT, Chris Cason in Funimation, and Jonathan Love in Blue Water are the voices of Shu. Brian Thomas in Funimation, Jodi Forrest in AB Groupe, and Nesty Ramirez in Creative are the voices of Shu in Mystical Adventure.

In Japanese, Eiko Yamada provides Mai’s voice. For Mystical Adventure, Cynthia Cranz provides her voice in the Funimation dub, Jodi Forrest in the AB Groupe dub, and Ethel Lizano in the Creative dub; Melodee Spevack in the Harmony Gold dub, Teryl Rothery in the Ocean dub, Julie Franklin in the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, Debbie Munro in the Blue Water dub, and Colleen Clinkenbeard in the Funimation. Eriko Tamura played Mai in the American live-action DDragon BallEvolution, while Yūko Kaida dubbed her voice in the Japanese version. Tara Platt provides her voice in the video game adaptation as well.

20. Red Ribbon Army

The paramilitary organizatiorganizationthe Red Ribbon Army (レッドリボン軍, Reddo Ribon Gun) is led by Commander Red (レッド総帥, Reddo-Sōsui). His men search for the Dragon Balls by raiding communities around the globe. Doctor Gero (ドクター・ゲロ, Dokutā Gero), the organizatiorganization’sentist, continues to study and create powerful artificial humanoids known as Androidstoo avenge Goku.

21.King Piccolo

King Piccolo, also known as Piccolo Daimaō (ピッコロ大魔王, Pikkoro Daimaō, “The Great Demon King Piccolo”) in Japanese, was intended to be a genuinely evil foe of Goku, even though all of Toriyama’s villains up until that point had something “likeablee” about them. He was created when the bad energy that had been expelled materializmaterializedy after the Namekian, who would go on to become the guardian deity of Earth, underwent a spiritual purification. He is linked to his good half, Kami; if one dies, the other dies too. After being created, he proclaims himself the Great Demon King and terrorizesterrorizest. Master Roshi and Master Shen’s master, Mutaito, imprisons him in a rice cooker using the deadly Mafū-ba (魔封波, “Demon Seal” or “Evil Containment Wave”) technique.

22. Garlic Jr.

The character Garlic Jr. (ガーリック・ジュニア, Gārikku Junia) initially appears in Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone. Garlic Jr. harboured resentment and a desire for vengeance after Kami imprisoned his father in the realm of darkness. He starts his quest for vengeance after obtaining the seven Dragon Balls and making a wish for immortality. By forcing Garlic Jr. into the Dead Zone (デッド ゾーン, Deddo Zōn), an alternate dimension he can open at will, Gohan defeats him. One of the few original characters from the movies who makes an appearance in the TV show is Garlic Jr. He uses the Makyo Star (魔凶星, Makyō-sei, “Planet Makyo”) as a power source to break free in the TV series, which sets up the events of the Garlic Jr. arc. The destruction of the Makyo Star traps him in the Dead Zone once more after he uses the Black Water Mist (アクアミスト, lit. “Aqua Mist”) to brainwash and change all living things on Earth. Akira Kamiya and Shigeru Chiba, respectively, provide the voices of Garlic Jr. in the original Japanese versions. Chuck Huber provides the voice of Garlic Jr. in the Funimation dub of the movie and anime, while Don Brown provides the voice of the character in the Ocean dub.

23. Zarbon and Dodoria

Two of Frieza’s most powerful goons, Zarbon (ザーボン, Zābon) and Dodoria (ドドリア), were initially spotted on Planet Namek with their master gathering Dragon Balls from the planet. Zarbon appears to be a handsome, long-haired humanoid alien with a refined temperament, whereas Dodoria looks unciviliseuncivilizedsh. When Bulma first meets Zarbon, she is taken aback by his unusual physical attractiveness and initially believes he is her ally. Following their first encounter, Zarbon transforms into a powerful reptilian beast, allowing him to defeat and capture Dodoria, who tells their former comrade, Vegeta, that Frieza was responsible for destroying the Saiyan homeworld. Vegeta escapes and takes Frieza’s Dragon Balls after Zarbon recovers his battered body and takes him to Frieza’s ship so that he can be healed for questioning. Zarbon rematches with Vegeta, but Vegeta kills him.

24. Frieza

To obtain the Dragon Balls and fulfil his wish for eternal life, Frieza first appears on Planet Namek, where he methodically exterminates most of the native Namekian population. In the end, it is discovered that Frieza killed all but a few Saiyans on the Saiyan planet Vegeta because he was afraid of their power. He keeps Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz as his subordinates. Later, Goku and his friends fight Frieza for a long time, and after Frieza kills Krillin, Goku turns into a Super Saiyan. Frieza destroys the planet by blasting a hole into Namek’s core because he is angry and frustrated that he cannot stop Goku’s newfound power. After his attack cuts Frieza in half, he pleads for forgiveness, and Goku gives him some extra energy. Goku attacks with that energy and then appears to kill Frieza. Later, after being rebuilt using cybernetic body parts, he travels to Earth with his father, King Cold (コルド大王, Korudo Daiō), and their forces to exact revenge, but Trunks, who has travelled back in time from the future, easily kills them all.

Freeza (フリーザ, Furīza), who goes by Frieza in the English anime dub, is the self-proclaimed ruler of Universe 7. His group (フリーザ軍, Furīza-gun), referred to as “Freeza’s Gang” in the Viz Media localisatilocalizationza Force” in the Funimation anime dub, is the main antagonistic force of the first half of the Dragon Ball Z series and, at its strongest, controls most of Universe 7. Strong races, like the Saiyans, are used and enslaved by Frieza to either destroy planets that are thought to be economically unviable or to seize ideal planets that can be sold to the highest bidders. Frieza’s men are armed with scouters and portable computers, primarily for power level measurement, in addition to standard-issue battle armour, which typically consists of dual shoulder guards, matching gloves and boots, and some skirt armour or crotch guard.

25. Ginyu Force

Frieza hires five mercenaries to form the Ginyu Force (ギニュー特㈦隊, Ginyū Tokusentai, lit. “Ginyu Special Squadron”). Toriyama watched sentai and tokusatsu television series with his kids, which inspired the Ginyu Force and their poses. Despite having some of the strongest bodies in the universe, members of the Ginyu Force enjoy playing games like rock, paper, scissors, and striking odd poses. Frieza instructs them to vanquish Vegeta and assist in obtaining the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek. In the anime, the four Ginyu Force members who have passed away (apart from their leader, Captain Ginyu, who was still alive) fight Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu in the afterlife on King Kai’s planet.

26. Nappa

One of the few Saiyans known to have survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta is Nappa (untupp). Nappa, a top Saiyan warrior, uses Saibamen (栽培MAN, Saibaiman, lit. “Cultivation Man”) as grunts to evaluate an opponent’s power and skill level or to hunt out a lesser adversary. Travelling to Earth with the Saiyan prince Vegeta in search of the Dragon Balls, Nappa comes upon the Dragon Team. He kills Piccolo, causes Tien Shinhan to pass out from tiredness, and survives Chiaotzu’s self-destructing attack. Goku defeats him; he returned to Earth after intensive training under King Kai. Knowing Nappa has lost, Vegeta kills him for his incompetence. In Japanese, he is portrayed in Dragon Ball Z by Shōzō Iizuka and in Dragon Ball Kai by Tetsu Inada. Michael Dobson in the Ocean dub and Christopher Sabat and Phil Parsons in the Funimation dub voice him in English.

27. Cooler

In the fifth and sixth Dragon Ball Z movies, Cooler (クウRA, Kūra) is the principal enemy. Travelling to Earth in quest of retribution on Goku, he is Frieza’s brother. Although he acknowledges he never loved his brother, he believes he had to punish the person compromising the integrity of his family. Super Saiyan Goku beats him. After his remains mix with the sentient planet-sized machine, Biggu Gete Sutā, which gives him the ability to create an infinite amount of “Meta-Coolers ,—which can constantly repair and improve themselves—he returns in the sixth movie. He tries to eat New Namek but is finally destroyed by Goku and Vegeta. Cooler features in the Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA and its remake, Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, a Dragon Ball spin-off manga drawn for V Jump by Toyotarou, and in the Prison Planet arc of Super Dragon Ball Heroes, an original net animation adaptation of the arcade game of the same name. Ryūsei Nakao voices him in Japanese media, and Andrew Chandler in the Funimation dub.

28. Raditz

Raditz is one character from the Dragon Ball Z manga/anime. He is a Saiyan mercenary who travels the galaxy with Vegeta and Nappa, capturing worlds for Freeza. He is also Goku’s older brother and Bardock’s firstborn son.

Older brother of Goku, Raditz (RADIENTS, Radittsu), also known as Raditz the Runt, is a Saiyan warrior. Among the few surviving Saiyans after their planet, Planet Vegeta, was destroyed, Raditz is one. Arriving on Earth, he looks for his long-lost brother so he may enlist him in the conquest of other worlds. Raditz grabs Gohan when Goku declines and orders Goku to kill 100 Earthlings in a day, should he wish his son back. Though their combined might is insufficient, Goku and Piccolo team up to defeat Raditz. With his Makankosappo technique, Goku wrestles Raditz and lets Piccolo kill both. Though Raditz sends one last message to let Vegeta and Nappa know that the Dragon Balls will revive Goku, Piccolo taunts him by stating that his Saiyan friends will come to Earth and use the Dragon Balls for their purposes instead. Raditz dies. He also makes a minor appearance in Dragon Ball Super: Broly and a single-panel appearance in Toriyama’s 2014 Dragon Ball Minus: The Departure of the Fated Child. Justin Cook in the Funimation dub, Jason Grey-Stanford in the Ocean dub, and Shigeru Chiba in the Japanese voice him.

29. Broly

The primary antagonist in Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan and Broly – Second Coming is Broly (ブロリー, Burorī). He is shown to be mentally unstable as an adult and to have been born with a power greater than that of the majority of elite adult Saiyans. In the end, he turns into the legendary “Legendary Super Saiyan” (伝説の超サイヤ人, Densetsu no Chō Saiya-jin), whose destructive impulses are only restrained by a unique controlling mechanism made by scientists for his father, Paragus (パラガス, Paragasu).

The animated movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly features a different Broly, whose backstory and physical attributes have been personally altered by Toriyama and incorporated into the series’ canon continuity.

30.  Cell

Doctor Gero’s ultimate creation, Cell (セル, Seru), was madtoto exact revenge on Goku. He is an artificial life form that was made by combining the cells of Goku, Piccolo, and Frieza, among other series characters. As a result, Cell can execute techniques like the Kamehameha. Cell undergoes multiple transformations during his appearances; initially, he transforms from a cicada-like form into his Imperfect form, which retains his insect-like appearance. He can absorb other organisms thanks to his long tail, which ends in a stinger-like appendage in both his first and second Semi-Perfect forms. In his ultimate Perfect form, the tail disappears beneath his wings, and he can use it to create tiny, childlike Cell Juniors. He kills the Trunks of his timeline and uses his time machine to go back in time because he needs Androids 17 and 18 to evolve, and he finds out that they are already dead in his timeline. After numerous battles, he finally absorbs both and reaches his ideal form. He chooses to host the Cell Games (セルゲーム, Seru Gēmu), a competition where he competes against the best fighters on Earth. After defeating Goku, Cell is ultimately slain by Gohan.

31 .Babidi

Bobbidi, also called Babidi in the English anime adaptation, is a madōshi (魔導師) and the son of Bibbidi, the warlock who claimed to have created Majin Buu. Long after his fathehadas died and Buhadas been banished, hbroughtgs him back to life to help him conquer the universe. A large “M” appears on a person’s forehead when Babidi uses his magic to possess them. Babidi uses the minds of strong fighters to help him achieve his goal, including Dabura, the alien warrior Pui Pui (プイプイ, “Pocus” in the English manga), the light-devouring monster Yakon (ヤコン), and two humans, Yamu (ヤムー, Yamū) and Spopovitch (スポポビビビビビビビビビビビヿッチ, Supopobitchi). Babidi uses them to collect energy for Buu’s resuscitation. He then enlists Vegeta to help him, but Vegeta can defy his orders. After Buu is brought back to life, Babidi manipulates him by threatening to reseal him ,but Buu turns against him and smashes his head with a single blow after being duped by Goku. In the anime, he appears in Hell, helping Goku and Vegeta fight Buu. Babidi is mentioned in Dragon Ball Super and appears in flashback scenes. The voices of Babidi in the original series, Kai, and Funimation are provided by Jōji Yanami, Bin Shimada, Terry Klassen, and Duncan Brannan, respectively.

32. Majin Buu

Although Bibbidi (ビビディ Bibidi) claimed to be his true creator, Majin Boo (魔人ブウ, Majin Bū), also known as “Majin Buu” in the English anime dub and “Djinn-Buu” in the English manga, is a magical life form created by the witch Marba in the Demon Realm eons before the events of Dragon Ball take place.Bibbidi temporarily sealed him and took him to Earth, their next target, but the final Supreme Kai killed Bibbidi. Babidi, Bibbidi’s son, sets out to bring Buu back to life. When Buu is released, he looks like a harmless-looking, plump, pink genie. Following his murder of Babidi, Buu develops a close friendship with Mr. Satan, which leads him to release his evil side, which takes the form of a taller, thinner body that absorbs Buu’s fat and grows stronger and more muscular. This Majin Buu takes in Gohan, Piccolo, Goten and Trunks (as Gotenks) because he wants a challenge. The Supreme Kai reveals that the original Majin Buu, also called “Pure Majin Boo (魔人ブウ 純粋, Majin Bū Junsui),” or Kid Buu in English dubs, absorbed the Dai Supreme Kai into his body, resulting in the fat form of Buu.After Goku and Vegeta remove his benevolent aspect from his body, Majin Buu returns to his original form as a sleek, child-sized creature who is obsessed with chaos and destruction. He then joins the Saiyans in opposition to his original incarnation. Goku defeats and kills the original Majin Buu, hoping that he will be reborn as a good person. Ten years later, Goku meets Buu’s reincarnation, Uub (ウーブ, ũbu), and handpicks him to be trained as his possible heir.

33. Degesu

The former Vice-Supreme Demon King during Gomah’s rule was Degesu (デゲス Degesu). He is a Glind species member and the sibling of Arinsu and Nahare, the latter of whom is most commonly known as Shin. He made an appearance in the first episode of Daima. Landon McDonald provides the English dub, while Junya Enoki provides the Japanese voice.

He is in charge of rendering Warp-sama inoperable and giving an order to a servant of the palace to retrieve the Tertian Oculus from Hybis’ belt. After holding the infant Dende hostage, he is vanquished in an ambush spearheaded by Glorio. Degesu notes during the incident that the Glind are frequently regarded as gods in the multiverse because they have an innate desire for positions of authority. He and his former superior, Gomah, were sealed away in the Daima finale.

34. Dabura

Babidi’s mind-controlled goon is Dabra, Supreme Demon King (暗黒魔界の王ダーブラ, Ankoku Makai no �� Dābura), also known as “Dabura” in the English anime dub. As Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Krillin board Babidi’s ship to help the Supreme Kai and his attendant Kibito stop Majin Buu from waking, Dabura makes an appearance. He helps Babidi corrupt Vegeta with a spell, obliterates Kibito by himself, and spits at Piccolo and Krillin, turning them to stone. Buu transforms Dabura into a huge cookie and eats him when he wakes up, returning his terrified victims to normal. Bulma, Chichi, and Videl are shown searching for Gohan in the afterlife with Dabura in a Dragon Ball Z anime filler episode. In the Japanese adaptation of the anime series, Ryūzaburō Ōtomo provides the voice of Dabura. Scott McNeil provides his voice in the Ocean Group English dub, while Rick Robertson does so in the Funimation English dub. He puns the word “Abracadabra” in his name.

PBeforeGomah taking over as his vice-Supreme Demon King, he was the Supreme Demon King, ruling over all three Demon Worlds. The Tertian Oculus, also known as the Evil Third Eye, was previously owned by his father, Supreme Demon King Abura (アーブラ Ābura), but Dabura had a thief steal it. However, the thief was already dead when he managed to get away, so Dabura was unable to get the item back.

35. Gomah

As the former Supreme Demon King who ascended after Dabura’s death, Gomah (ゴマー Gomā) is the primary antagonist of Dragon Ball Daima. During Dabura’s rule, he served as the vice-Supreme Demon King. He first appears as a tiny, imp-like clown creature in a red-and-black suit, and he is in charge of using the Dragon Balls to turn the main cast into younger versions of themselves. In the Japanese version of the anime, Gomah is voiced by Showtaro Morikubo, while in the English dub, Tom Laflin does so.

In the Dragon Ball Daima finale, Majin Kuu defeats Gomah and replaces him as the new Demon King. Arinsu and Marba seal Gomah and Degesu away for 99 years.

36. Goku Black/Zamasu

Goku Black (ゴクウブラック, Gokū Burakku), or simply Black, is an entity who is identical to Son Goku in appearance. Arriving on another future Earth, he meets Trunks, wrecks havoc on the surviving human population for the sake of “justice” under the name Son Goku. Goku and his associates discover that Goku Black is Zamasu (ザマス), an apprentice Supreme Kai from Universe 10 of a pre-altered main timeline who despises all mortal life and hijacked Goku’s body using the Super Dragon Balls. Goku Black and Zamasu from the Universe 10 of Trunks’ timeline fuse into a single being using the Potara (ポタラ) earrings, andares eventually defeated by the combined effort of Goku, Trunks, and their allies. Zamasu is ultimately erased by Zeno of the alternate future timeline along with the entirety of that timeline’s multiverse, which he had ravaged and ruined as part of Project Zero Mortals (人間ゼロ計画, Ningen Zero Keikaku, lit. “Zero Humans Plan”).

37. Marba

Marba, the Great Witch (大魔女マーバ Majin Buu was created by the witch Dai Majo Māba. Later, at Arinsu’s direction, she used the essence from Majin Buu’s regenerative fragments to create Majin Kuu and Majin Duu. Because of their complementary skill sets, the two form a brotherly bond and work together as a duo. She imprisons Gomah and Degesu for 99 years after they are vanquished. King Kuu elevates her to the position of minister due to her efforts.[69] Mami Horikoshi provides her Japanese voice.

38. Dr. Arinsu

Degesu and Nahare’s older siblings are Dr. Arinsu (ドクター・アワンス Dokutā Arinsu), a Glind scientist who works under Gomah. Morgan Laure in the English dub and Yoko Hikasa in Japanese provide her voiceToto betray Gomah and become the new Supreme Demon King, she enlisted Glorio’s assistance in obtaining the Dragon Balls. If she had succeeded in the role, her goal would have been to make the Demon Realm a more violent and terrifying place that would dominate the multiverse. She was at odds with both of her siblings, especially Nahare, because of this stance.

Following Goku’s acquisition of the three-star Dragon Ball, Arinsu met with the Great Witch Marba (大魔女マーバ Dai Majo Māba), the creator of Majin Buu, to create Majin Kuu and Majin Duu, two more creatures. After that, Arinsu uses the two’s skills to get the one-star Dragon Ball, which she never tells Glorio about and uses as a ransom for Goku’s group.

She then commands Glorio to use the Dragon Balls to grant her the title of Supreme Demon King during the fight with Gomah. However, he wishes to restore Goku and his companions to their former size, which enrages Arinsu, who fires him. She finally decides to search the archives for a method of removing the Tertian Oculus from Gomah. With Kuu’s assistance, she finds that the eye can be removed by repeatedly striking the bearer of the eye in the back of the head.

Supporting characters

39. Chichi

Chichi (チチ) is Pan’s grandmother, Gohan and Goten’s mother, and Goku’s wife. When Goku is asked to take her to Master Roshi’s home by her father, the Ox-King, they first cross paths as kids. In a miscommunication, Goku vows to wed her. They get married after she challenges him about his pledge at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament years later. As the family’s matriarch, she is portrayed as being overly protective of Gohan’s welfare and desiring to stop Goku’s combative and conflict-prone way of life. With her younger son Goten, she eases up and even trains him herself.

40. Oolong

Named Mao-Mao in the Harmony Gold dub, Oolong (ウーロン, Ūron) is an anthropomorphic, shapeshifting pig who uses his powers to further his avaricious ambitions. Before he was expelled for stealing the teacher’s underwear, he and Puar attended the same shapeshifting school; as a result, he is only allowed to change his form for five minutes at a time, needing a one-minute break in between. Oolong initially plans to steal the Dragon Balls with Goku and Bulma, but she changes her mind. He uses the Dragon Balls to make the first wish, which is for a pair of underwear. As the series goes on, Oolong has a smaller part and is frequently with Master Roshi. Alec Willows and Richard Newman provide the Ocean dub, while Naoki Tatsuta provides the Japanese voice. WExceptDragon Ball Z Kai, where Bryan Massey voices him, Bradford Jackson voices him in Funimation’s dubs.

41. Launch

Goku and Krillin rescue Lunch (ランチ, Ranchi), also known as Launch in the Funimation dub and Marilynn in the Harmony Gold dub, and bring her to Master Roshi so that he can train them. Every time she sneezes, she transforms from a kind, courteous, blue-haired woman into a frenzied, blond bad girl with a split personality.She chooses to remain with Master Roshi and becomes his maid because her bad form is a known criminal. The blond Launch becomes attracted to Tien Shinhan’s aggressive demeanour. She is reported to be pursuing Tien Shinhan, but she is not seen following the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. She appears in a few Dragon Ball Z filler episodes in the anime, during the battle with the Saiyans, and she reappears at the end of the series, assisting Goku’s Genki-Dama in defeating Buu. Meredith McCoy in the Funimation dub, Edie Mirman in the Harmony Gold dub, and Mami Koyama in Japanese provide her voice .

42. Ox-King

Known as Ox-King in the English anime dub, Gyū-Maō (牛魔王, lit “Ox Demon King”) is Chichi’s father and the affluent owner of a castle on Frypan Mountain (フライパン山, Furaipan-yama). He is somewhat modelled after Journey to the West’s Bull Demon King. Alongside Goku’s adoptive grandfather, Grandpa Gohan, he received martial arts instruction from Master Roshi. In contrast to Chichi, he has a gentle and easygoing personality despite his intimidating name and size. He becomes Pan’s great-grandfather, Gohan and Goten’s grandfather, and Goku’s father-in-law. Daisuke Gōri provided the voice of Ox-King in the majority of Japanese media. In contrast, Ryūzaburō Ōtomo provided the voice of the character in Dragon Ball Kai and Dragon Ball Super. Mark Britten and later Kyle Hebert provided the character’s voice in the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Z, Dave Ward in the Ocean Group dub, and Dave Pettitt in the Blue Water dub.

43. Puar

Yamcha’s friend, Pu’ar (プーアル, Pūaru), is a kind blue creature that is also referred to as Puar in the Funimation animation adaptation, Pu-erh in their subtitles, and Squeakers in the Harmony Gold version. Puar is capable of levitation and shapeshifting. He went to the same shapeshifting school as Oolong, where Oolong constantly teased him. In the opening scene, he and Yamcha are robbed in a desert and encounter Goku, Bulma, and Oolong. After initially following and assisting the group in stealing the Dragon Balls they are collecting, they eventually unite and form a friendship with the three. After Goku first transforms into a giant ape in the series, Puar transforms into a pair of scissors and cuts off his tail to restore him to his normal form. Puar and Upa defeat Dracula Man while competing in Uranai Baba’s tournament. The name is a pun on pu’er tea, and the character was supposed to look a little bit like a cat. InTournamentgender, Toriyama disclosed that although the dubbed version portrays the character as feminine, he drew him as male. While Kathy Morse and Cathy Weseluck provide the Ocean dub and Cheryl Chase provides the Harmony Gold dub, Naoko Watanabe provides Puar’s Japanese voice. Up until Dragon Ball Z Kai, when Brina Palencia takes over, he is voiced by Monika Antonelli in Funimation’s dubs.

44. Dr. Briefs

Bulma’s father and the grandfather of Trunks and Bra is Dr. Briefs (ブリーフ博士, Burīfu-hakase), sometimesspeltd Dr. Brief. One of the world’s wealthiest and most intelligent men, he is an elderly scientist. In addition to being the creator and president of the largest company on Earth, Capsule Corporation (カプセルコーポレーション, Kapuseru Kōporēshon), Dr. Briefs is also the man behind the creation of the Hoi-Poi Capsules (ホイ ポイ カプセル, Hoi Poi Kapuseru), which can shrink inanimate objects into their namesake capsules. He is in charge of altering the Namekian spacecraft that Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan travel to find the Dragon Balls on Namek. Additionally, he builds Goku a unique spaceship so that he can practice in a gravitational field that is 100 times stronger than Earth’s. Vegeta forces Dr. Briefs to build a ship so he can train under 300 times Earth’s gravity after the Dragon Team returns to Earth and gets ready for the fight against the Androids. Alongside Bulma, he fixes the broken Android 16 in time for the Cell Games. Dr. Briefs lives with his wife, daughter, and pets in his spacious home in West City (西のヽ, Nishi no Miyako), where he spends most of his time. Joji Yanami provides his Japanese voice. He is voiced in English by Paul DobsJōjind Scott McNeil in Ocean dubs, Chris Forbis in Dragon Ball and Z Funimation dubs, and Mark Stoddard in Funimation dubs starting with Kai. In Toriyama’s 2013 manga series Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which takes place before Dragon Ball, Dr. Briefs makes an appearance in the last chapter.

45. Mr. Popo

A genie-like being known as Mr. Popo (ミスター・ポポ, Misutā Popo) is the attendant of the guardian deity of Earth. He easily defeats Goku in a skirmish when he first shows up. To prepare Goku for his fight against Piccolo at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, he helps Kami train him for three years. Later, he trains Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, and Yajirobe to prepare them for the Saiyans. When Dende ascends to the position of Earth’s new protector, Mr. Popo acts as his attendant.

46. Korin

When he first appears in Dragon Ball, Karin (カリン), also referred to as Korin in the Ocean and Funimation dubs and Whiskers the Wonder Cat in the Harmony Gold dub, is a Senbyō (仙猫, immortal cat) who is at least 800 years old. He is a minor deity who resides at the summit of Karin Tower (カリン塔, Karin-tō), which is located beneath Kami’s lookout. The tower’s guardians are a warrior named Bora (ボラ) and his son Upa (ウパ). After three years of training, he gave Master Roshi the Kinto’un (筋斗雲) and the Nyoi-bō (如意棒), which are later passed on to Goku (called “Nimbus” and “Power Pole” in the English anime dub, respectively). AfterMercenary Tao defeats Gokuo, Korin trains him and gives him god-provided poisoned water to make him strong enough to defeat King Piccolo. He is in charge of deciding who is deserving of meeting Kami, and Goku is the first person he has ever considered deserving. He assists Goku and his companions by cultivating Senzu beans (仙豆, Senzu, lit. “Hermit bean”)

47. Yajirobe

Overweight samurai Yajirobe (ヤジロベー, Yajirobē) is frequently viewed as impolite, ill-mannered, timid, lazy, and cowardly. When they first meet, Yajirobe is upset with Goku for taking his fish. However, when King Piccolo vanquishes Goku, Yajirobe changes his mind and takes him to Korin’s for healing. Most of Yajirobe’s support for Goku and his friends still comes from the sidelines. He was once a vagrant who subsisted on the land, but after meeting Korin, he now lives with him. Goku and his friends receive Senzu beans from him after he grows them. When Goku battles him for the first time, Yajirobe chops off Vegeta’s tail to restore his normal state. Yajirobe only appears briefly after this story arc.

Toriyama asked his voice actres,s Mayumi Tanak,a to voice Yajirobe after Krillin passed awaWhen they later appeared in the same scenelin, Tanaka gave the former a Nagoya dialeto differentiate them. by Mike McFarland in the Funimation dub, Brian Drummond in the Ocean dub, and Lucas Gilbertson in the Blue Water  also provide his voicesdub.

48. Namekians

Namekians are observed to reproduce asexually by spitting an egg from their mouths, and they have bodies resembling those of male humans. Because each child is typically not a replica of their parent, as is the case with King Piccolo or the Great Elder (最長老, Saichōrō), the ancestor of every Namekian still alive on Earth before the events of Dragon Ball, there is still diversity in the species despite their special reproductive abilities. Before he passes away later in the series, the Great Elder, also referred to as Guru in the English anime, cedes his role as the head of the Namekian people to Muri (ムーリ).

The second Demon World is home to the Namekians, also referred to as Nameks (ナメック星人, Namekku-seijin, lit. “Namek Aliens”). After a mass exodus, most Namekians dispersed throughout the multiverse, including to the Planet Namek in Universe 7. The Namekians are a humanoid species that resembles a slug and a plant, an idea inspired by the Japanese word namekuji, which means “slug” in Japanese. They can create their own set of Dragon Balls and have green skin, demon-like pointed ears, and antennae on their bald heads. Few Namekians are left on their home planet during the series’ events because the majority of them perished in a major disaster a generation earlier. The first Namekian characters Goku met were King Piccolo and his mutant children, who were believed to be from Earth but were extraterrestrial.

49. Neva

An ancient Namekian with amazing magical abilities is Neva (ネバ Neba). He lived in the Demon Realm’s version of the planet Namek, never leaving it like most of his kind, and hoped that one day the Namekians would return to the place where he stayed. Because of his age and great magical ability, he is regarded as the legendary Namekian (伝説ナメック人 Densetsu no Namekku-jin). Hiroshi Naka in Japanese and Garrett Schenk in English dubbing provide their voices.

Neva enhances several characters’ skills throughout Dragon Ball Daima. When Tamagami Number Two starts to lose the battle against Vegeta, he unleasheshiss full power and makes Vegeta use Super Saiyan 3. Furthermore, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan 4 during his struggle with Gomah after he unlocks the former’s power. Gomah was given the position of minister following his defeat by Majin Kuu.

50. Videl

Videl (ビーデル, Bīderu) is Mr. Satan’s daughter. Despite being a martial artist, she is stronger than her father. She fights crime in the city with her powers, and when Gohan appears as the Great Saiyaman, she quickly discovers who he is. Then, she uses that information to blackmail him into teaching her new skills, such as using her ki to fly. The two marry and have a daughter named Pan after Buu is vanquished. During her pregnancy, Videl takes part in a ritual that allows Goku to become a Super Saiyan God in Dragon Ball Super and the fourteenth Dragon Ball Z movie.

51. Kami

Up to the second part of the Dragon Ball Z series, Kami (神, lit. “God”), the creator of Earth’s Dragon Balls, acts as the series’ guardian deity. Throughout the series, several characters utilise the geneutilizem kami to refer to gods and goddesses in the original Japanese speech. This figure is called Kami (神様, Kami-sama), and his true identity is never disclosed. He and KinKamiccolo were formerly one entity. Still, it was subsequently discovered that he was a Namekian who had given up his evil nature to take on the role of Earth’s guardian deity. King Piccolo, the malevolent manifestation, ravaged Earth until Master Roshi’s master, Mutaito, shut him away.

The Dragon Balls vanish if either Kami or King Piccolo passes away, since the two will perish together. King Piccolo gives birth to a much more powerful incarnation, Piccolo, who inherits these same characteristics and keeps his memories beforeGoku kills himu. Later, Kami joins the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament using a human named Shen (シェン, “Hero” in the English anime translation) as a disguise and tries to seal away the new Piccolo himself using the same method as Mutaito. But Piccolo discovered how to do it the other way around, trapping Kami in a water jug and swallowing it before Goku lets him go. When Nappa kills Piccolo during the battle against the Saiyans, Kami perishes, but both are brought back to life by the Namekian Dragon Balls. Kami consents to fuse with Piccolo during the Android Saga, and Piccolo takes on his power, vitality, memories, intelligence, and way of thinking. He is later replaced as the new Kami by a teenage Namekian named Dende. Takeshi Aono provides his Japanese voice, which he would continue to perform until Dragon Ball Kai’s Frieza arc. Bin Shimada Kamiided the character’s voice for his last appearance during the Cell saga following Aono’s stroke. He is voiced in English by Christopher Sabat in the Funimation dub and by Michael Dobson and Dale Wilson in the Ocean dub.

52. Dende

The Great Elder of Namek is the father of Dende (デンデ). Gohan and Krillin took him into their care after saving him as a child from Frieza’s goon, Dodoria. To access the Great Elder’s enormous, untapped power reserves, Dende leads Krillin there .When using the Namekian Dragon Balls, he also deciphers the Earthlings’ wishes because they have to be expressed in the Namekians’ native tongue. After the Great Elder unlocks his power, Dende later acquires the ability to heal wounds. He uses this ability to support the warriors battling Frieza until the tyrant kills him for being unruly and assisting the Earthlings. Following his resurrection, Dende lives on New Namek until Goku asks him to take on the role of Earth’s guardian deity.

He takes the job, brings Earth’s dormant Dragon Balls back to life, and remains Earth’s guardian deity for the remainder of the series. Since Piccolo had fused with his predecessor and friend Nail (ネイル, Neiru), Dende and Piccolo establish a close working relationshipTomiko Suzuki provides his voiceski in the original Japan, and Aya Hirano in Dragon Ball Kai and all subsequent media,exceptf Dragon Ball Daima, where Erina Gotō provided the voice of a miniature Dende. Laura Bailey voices him in the redub, Justin Cook as an adult, Ceyli Delgadillo as a child, and Maxey Whitehead as Kai in the Funimation dubs Gotōhe series.

53. Mr. Satan

Known as Hercule in some of Funimation’s dub and in Viz’s English manga, Mr. Satan (ミスター・サタン, Misutā Satan) is a flamboyant martial artist who rises to fame during the Cell Games. The media credits him with Cell’s death and hails him as a hero after he tries to fight Cell but is swatted away. Later, he makes friends with Majin Buu and persuades the creature to change, which causes him to shed his evil tendencies and turn into a distinct lifeform. Later, he aids in the defeat of the evil Buu by mobilising Earthmobilizinge to support Goku with their energy through his celebrity influence. The good-natured Buu later becomes Mr. Buu (ミスター・ブウ, Misutā Bū) and lives with Mr. Satan and his Labrador retriever, Bee (ベエ, Bē). Both still show up in later Dragon Ball media as recurrent supporting characters.

54. Hybis

In King Kadan’s army, Hybis (ハイビス Haibisu) is a short, awkward soldier who likes to dance. He aims to transport Bulma, Piccolo, and Vegeta from Earth to the Demon Realm. He discovered the Tertian Oculus in the middle of a field while on his expeditions in the third Demon World, and he now wears it as a belt buckle. Later, he gives the belt and the eye to a Gomah servant in return for her green hat.

55. Pan

Gohan and Videl’s daughter. aAbleto fly and a fierce fighter. The granddaughter of Goku. Son Goten’s niece. The great-granddaughter of Ox-king and Bardock. Pan (パン) is the daughter of Gohan and Videl and the granddaughter of Goku. In the last chapters of both the original manga and the Dragon Ball Z anime series, she makes an appearance as a small child. As a sixth Saiyan participant is needed for the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods movie and Dragon Ball Super, Videl, expecting Pan, offers to participate in a ritual on behalf of her unborn daughter.Yūko Minaguchi voices heri in Japanese media. She is voiced by Brenna O’Brien in the Ocean dub and Kate Bristol in the Funimation dub in the English versions of Dragon Ball Z. She is voiced by Caitlynne Medrek in the Blue Water dub, Mariette Sluyter as an elder, and Elise Baughman in the Funimation dub in the English-language Dragon Ball GT adaptations. Jeannie Tirado provides the voice of Baby/Little Pan in Super.

56. Pikkon

A resident of the Other World (the afterlife in the Dragon Ball series), Paikuhan (パイクーハン, Paikūhan), also known as Pikkon in the English anime dub, makes his debut in the 195th episode of Dragon Ball Z and the first episode of the Other World arc, where he first meets Son Goku and his mentor, the North Kaiō. He and Goku form a friendly rivalry after competing against each other in the Other World Tournament, which was held in memory of the recently departed North Kaiō, even though his mentor, the West Kaiō, is a fierce rival to the North Kaiō.

He makes another appearance as a significant supporting character in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn and in other Dragon Ball video games. In terms of appearance, role, and personality, Toriyama had deliberately created the character to resemble Piccolo; in fact, there were memos left for the anime’s production team that explicitly directed them to use Piccolo as a model for facial expressions. Screenrant’s Craig Elvy notes his popularity among Dragon Ball fans; in a 2017 V-Jump survey before the anime adaptation of the Tournament of Power plot aired, Japanese fans chose him as their preferred candidate to take Mr. Buu’s place as a competitor from Universe 7. Hikaru Midorikawa in Japanese media, Brian Drummond in the Ocean Dub, and Kyle Hebert in the Funimation anime dub all provide the character’s voices.

57. Marron

As a recurrent supporting character in the Dragon Ball media series, Marron (マーロン, Māron) is the daughter of Krillin and Android 18. She is typically under her mother’s care. Her eye shape and apparent lack of a nose as a toddler and later young child are similar to her father’s. Marron is not a martial artist like her parents, and she doesn’t seem to have any special abilities or fighting skills. She was originally voiced in Japanese media by Tomiko Suzuki, Hiroko Ushida in Dragon Ball Z Kai and Dragon Ball Super, and Naoko Watanabe in the TV special Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! And the Battle of Gods movie. She is voiced by Lori Barnes Smith in the Blue Water dub, Melodee Lenz in the Dragon Ball Z Funimation dub, and Tia Ballard in the Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Resurrection ‘F’ Funimation dubs.

58. Panzy

Panzy (パンジ Panji) is the princess of the third Demon World and a young Majin. King Kadan (カダン Kadan), the ruler of the third Demon World, is her father. When he held a young Dende hostage, Panzy participated in the attack on Degesu. Veronica Laux provides the English dub, while Fairouz Ai provides the Japanese voice.

59. Tamagami

Neva created the Demon Realm, where the Tamagami (タマガミ Tamagami) are the protectors of the Dragon Balls. The three of them are warrior robots. Number One is holding a sword, Number Two is holding a trident, and Number Three is holding a hammer. Each of them has a Dragon Ball with the number of stars that corresponds to its name.

In Japanese, Hiroki Takahashi voices Tamagami Number One, Hideyuki Umezu voices Number Two, and Kenta Miyake voices Number Three.

60.Majin Kuu and Majin Duu

The witch Marba and Dr. Arinsu used Saibaman seeds, Majin Buu’s essence, and Arinsu’s essence to create Majin Kuu (クウ Majin Kū) and Majin Duu (ドゥー Majin Dū). Majin Duu is a minister, and Majin Kuu is the Supreme Demon King, ruling over the three Demon Worlds.[99]

Soon after creation, Majin Kuu faces off against Tamagami Number One but loses. Duu is created as a result of his loss, and the two rapidly form a brotherly bond. With the help of his favourite food, chocolate, which gives him a sugar rush, Duu defeats Tamagami Number One .Majin Kuu exhibits superhuman intelligence in comparison to both Duu and Arinsu, as evidenced by his lightning-fast math skills and ability to search books in a matter of seconds. Conversely, Duu exhibits tremendous strength and the capacity to change his body, extending his limbs and developing appendages.

61. Jaco

The protagonist of Toriyama’s manga Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which takes placbeforeto the events of Dragon Ball, is an extraterrestrial galactic patrolman named Jaco Teirimentenpibosshi Jaco Tirimentenpibosshi). As a member of the Galactic Patrol, a cosmic police force headed by the Galactic King (銀河王, “Gingaō”), Jaco comes to Earth with the mission of maintaining order throughout the Milky Way Galaxy to protect it from an evil alien threat. He makes friends with Bulma’s older sister Tights (タイツ, “Taitsu”) and heads back to space after failing to find the alien, who turns out to be Goku. After making an appearance in the fifteenth Dragon Ball Z movie, he returns in Dragon Ball Super. Todd Haberkorn provides the English voice of Jaco, while Natsuki Hanae does so in Japanese.

62. Future Mai

An alternate future Mai (㜪㝥ぶマイ, Mirai no Mai), who had aged after Shenron de-aged her, is portrayed as the head of the Earthly resistance forces against Goku Black during the Goku Black arc of Dragon Ball Super. They collaborate closely with their allies from the main timeline to defeat Goku Black and thwart his Zero Mortal Plan, and she is a close friend and possible love interest of the Trunks of her timeline. In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, this Mai makes an appearance as a supporting character. Colleen Clinkenbeard in English and Eiko Yamada in Japanese provide the voices of Future Mai. 63. Arale Norimaki

In Toriyama’s earlier manga Dr. Slump, Arale Norimaki Norimaki) She is a young girl android created by the scientist Senbei Norimaki in Penguin Village (ペンギン㝑, Pengin Mura). Two cherubs called the Gatchans, who can eat nearly anything and emit lasers from their antennas, frequently accompany Arale. She easily defeats Goku when he first encounters her in his last battle with Red Ribbon Army General Blue. In the third Dragon Ball movie, Arale also makes an appearance and vanquishes Mercenary Tao. In Dragon Ball Super, she appears to be on par with Goku and defeats Vegeta while under the control of Dr. Mashirito, her creator’s archenemy.

64. Fortuneteller Baba

In the English anime dub, Fortuneteller Baba (占いババ, Uranai-baba, lit. “All-seeing Crone”) is an elderly witch and the elder sister of Master Roshi. She rides a magic floating crystal ball that she owns, which allows her to see into the future and locate any misplaced objec . Additionally, she can travel to the afterlife, where she enlists people who have passed away and brings them back to life to fight for her, albeit for a single day. She resides in a large palace that overlooks a desert oasis. Unless she defeats her team of fighters, she typically charges a very high price for her services.

Her regular opponents include the boxing vampire Dracula Man (ドラキュラ, Dorakyura Man, “Count Dracula” in Viz’s manga and “Fangs” in the English anime dub); Suke-san (スケさん, “Invisible Man” in Viz’s manga and “See-Through” in the English anime dub), a weak invisible man whose only advantage is that he cannot be seen; Mummy-kun (ミイラくん, Miira-kun, “Mummy” in Viz’s manga and “Bandages” in the English anime dub), a mummy with brute strength; and Devilman (アックマン, Akkuman, “Devil” in Viz’s manga and “Spike” in the English anime dub), a humanoid devil who can destroy people using the evil in their hearts. His adoptive grandfathe,r Son Goha,n is the last of her fighters, briefly transported back to the real world to see his grandson when Goku and his friends go to her to locate the final Dragon Ball following the Red Ribbon Army’s defeat. She frequently appears, such as when she revives Goku for a single day at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. Junpei Takiguchi provided her voice in Dragon Ball and the first part of Dragon Ball Z in Japanse , while Mayumi Tanaka did so for the second half of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Kai. She is voiced in English by Linda Chambers-Young in the Funimation dub and Ellen Kennedy in the Ocean dub.

6 5.Fusion characters

Characters developed by fusing two or more distinct entities into one are a common motif in the Dragon Ball series. Toriyama’s longtime friend and fellow manga artist Masakazu Katsura proposed the idea of fusing two characther, which resulted in the introduction of character amalgamations created using a variety of techniques. The resulting fused characters are typically portrayed in the anime as speaking in two voices, one of which is a combination of the voices of both participants.

Originally presented during the Majin Buu arc, the Fusion technique is a ritual dance created by an extraterrestrial species known as the Metamorans, which Goku learned in the Other World. By temporarily combining two or more bodies, this technique aims to create a superior entity that possesses traits from both participants. The freshly fused body is wearing Metamoran clothing, which includes boots, white pants with a cloth belt, and a dark vest lined with light-colored linen.

66. Grandpa Gohan

Son Goku’s adoptive grandfather, Grandpa Son Gohan (孫 悟飯 じいちゃん, Son Gohan Jīsan; FUNimation “Grandpa Gohan”, Viz “Son Gohan”), was discovered in a spaceship wreckage. He takes on Goku and teaches him martial arts after having previously studied under Master Roshi and learned the Kamehameha technique from him. While on a rampage in his giant ape form, Goku disregards his warning not to look at the full moon and unintentionally kills him. It is not until Vegeta transforms into an ape and informs Goku of the changes that Goku discovers this. Baba Uranai brings him back to life for a single day so that he can battle Goku and witness his development as a martial artist. Later on, Goku honours his grandfather by naming his first son Gohan. Later on in the anime, he serves as Annin’s (アンニン), the “magical furnace” ruler’s assistant. Shigeru Chiba in Dragon Ball Kai, Kinpei Azusa in Bardock: The Father of Goku, and Osamu Saka in the Japanese adaptation of the original series all provide hisvoices. Christopher Sabat provides his voice in the series’ Funimation dub. In the American live-action movie Dragonball Evolution, he is played by Randall Duk Kim; in the Japanese version, Hiroya Ishimaru dubbed his voice. In the last chapter of Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which takes place before Dragon Ball, Grandpa Gohan makes a brief appearance.

67. Universe 7

In the Seventh Universe, there were initially five SupremeKaisi. Four of these ruled over each of the four quadrants, and a fifth, known as the Dai Kaiōshin (大界王神, or “Great Lord of Lords”), ruled over each of them in turn. All but one of them perished at the hands of Majin Buu before the events in Dragon Ball. After being absorbed by the Dai Supreme Kai, Buu assumed a plump body that bore a striking resemblance to the god. Buu still posseGods the spirit of the Dai Supreme Kai, whose benevolent influence lessens the destructiveness of the creature to some extent.

The death of his peers made the East Kaiōshin (東の界王神, Higashi no Kaiōshin), who had previously ruled the eastern quadrant of Universe 7, the de facto ruler of the entire universe. He is the brother of Arinsu and Degesu, the three of whom came from the same Glind Tree in the Demon Realm, and his real name is Nahare (ナハレ Nahare). Being a demon, he has pointed ears, purple skin, and a white mohawk. His attendant Kibito (キビト) is always with him. In the Dragon Ball manga, he travels to Earth as “Shin” (シンtoto meet Goku and his companions and enlist their help in preventing Babidi from bringing Buu back to life. Gohan is transported to the distant planet of the Supreme Kai (界王神界, lit. “Realm of the Lord of Lords”) after failing to stop Buu’s return. There, he receives the Zeta Sword (ゼットソード, Zetto Sōdo) (“Z Sword” in the English anime dub) and begins training. During Gohan’s training, the sword is inadvertently broken, releasing an East Supreme Kai ancestor. He resurrects Goku by using his power to increase both his own and Gohan’s life force. Goku chooses to stay in the afterlife after dying in a self-destructing cell. After Majin Buu’s defeat, the elder Supreme Kai, also known as the Old Kaiōshin (老界王神, Rō Kaiōshin), continues to serve as an advisor to his descendant and frequently appears in later Dragon Ball media.

68. Kai

In the Dragon Ball multiverse, the Kaiō (界王) are upper-level gods known as Lords of Worlds in Viz’s English manga and the Kai in the English anime dub. The final one, the Dai Kaiō (大界王, “Great Lord of Worlds”), is in charge of all five at once, with one ruling over each of the universe’s four quadrants. The lower-level deities that govern individual planets are under the control of the Kai, who live in the heavens. The existence of the Supreme Kai, who is in command of the Kai, is disclosed later in the series.[Chapter 440] After a period of training as an apprentice, a Kai may be promoted to the position of the Supreme Kai. For instance, Zamasu was the previous North Kaiō (北の界王, Kita no Kaiō) of Universe 10 before being selected as his apprentice and eventual successor by the ruling Supreme Kai of Universe 10.

69. Supreme Kai

A demonic species and some of the highest-level deities in the Dragon Ball canon, the Glind (グリンド人 Gurindo-jin) and Kaiōshin (界王神) are referred to as Lords of Lords in Viz’s English manga and the Supreme Kai in the English anime dub. They are positioned beneath the Angels, Grand Priest, and Omni-King, but next to the Gods of Destruction. Originally from the second Demon World, the Glind decided to depart and become the multiverse’s Supreme Kai gods. Degesu was among those who opted to stay in the Demon Realm. The Glind, who are descended from Glind trees in the second Demon World, are all inherently genderless, despite using gendered language and pronouns. For better or worse, they also have an innate tendency to pursue high positions of authority. The Supreme Kai watches over both the living world and the Other World, which is the Dragon Ball series’ afterlife, while the Kai watches over the living world.

To prepare for threats like Majin Buu and Dabura, Gohan and Trunks trained under their universe’s Supreme Kai, who also granted them access to healing abilities, the Supreme Kai is notorious for enlisting mortal beings as their disciples. The Potara (ポタラ), a pair of earrings worn by the Supreme Kai and their adherents, enable two people to fuse tnd will allow the wearer to use a Time Ring. The Gods of Destruction, who are introduced in Dragon Ball Super, are on par with the Supreme Kai. While the Gods of Destruction destroy planets or entire civilisations whcivilizationsto preserve the equilibrium of the universe they govern, Supreme Kai act as “creation gods” (創造神, sōzōshin) by supplying the energy for the creation of new planets and species.

70. King Vegeta

The final Saiyan king (サイヤ人, Saiya-jin) is King Vegeta (ベジータ王, Bejīta Ō), also called Vegeta III (ベジータ三世, Bejīta Sansei, lit. “Vegeta the Third”).[111] Vegeta and Tarble, two Saiyan princes, are his children. In the ten-year conflict with the Tuffles (ツフル人, Tsufuru-jin), he led the Saiyans, who have historically lived a violent lifestyle in which they raid other planets, to victory. The Tuffles’ home planet was then renamed Planet Vegeta (パ㘟ベジータ, Wakusei Bejīta) in his honour. He was forced to swear loyalty to Frieza after the Saiyans were annexed as a vassal state, even though he stillhads authority over his subjects. After killing King Vegeta, Frieza annihilates his home planet and carries out a genocide against the Saiyan race as a whole. Flashbacks of King Vegeta’s encounter with Beerus during the latter’s visit to Planet Vegeta can be found in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and the anime and manga adaptations of Dragon Ball Super. He is voiced in Japanese by Masaharu Satō in the eighth Dragon Ball Z movie, Yukimasa Kishino in an episode , and Banjō Ginga in episode 78. Christopher Sabat voices him in the Funimation dub and Terry Klassen in the Ocean dub.

71. Universe 10

The ruling Supreme Kai of Universe 10 is Gowasu (ゴワス), also referred to as Gowas in the manga. Gowasu selected Zamasu to be his successor. He does not harbour resentment toward Goku or consider him disrespectful, in contrast to many of his peers from the other Universes.Too help Goku and his friends deal with his former apprentice, Gowasu and his counterpart from Universe 7 traveled to a different future world where Zamasu destroyed the planet. Gowasu enlists members to fight for Universe 10 during the Tournament of Power arc, documenting and posting their exploits on a channel called “GodTube.”

Garrett Schenck provides the voice of Gowasu in the Funimation dub, while Tetsuo Goto does so in the Japanese version.

72. Cabba

A member of the Sadala Defense Forces and a Saiyan from Planet Sadala, Cabba (キャベ, Kyabe) was first shown in Dragon Ball Super. The SaGotōs of Universe 7 were originally from the planet Sadala, but Vegeta claims that internal strife destroyed it long ago and that it is now nonexistent. Cabba is portrayed as a kind and modest person who treats everyone with respect and views himself as a guardian of the weak, in contrast to the haughty and barbaric behaviour displayed by the great majority of Saiyans from Universe 7. During the Tournament of Destroyers, he is chosen to join Champa’s squad because he is one of Universe 6’s most formidable fighters. Even though they play for different teams, Cabba becomes close to Vegeta after the tournament and views him as a mentor.

73. Frost

A member of the same race of beings as Frieza from UnivTournamentost (フロスト, Furosuto) is the ruler of an empire situated in Universe 6. He makes his debut as a competitor for his universe in Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Destroyers. In contrast to Frieza, he appears to be viewed favorably by most of his subjects in Universe 6.

74. Universe 6 inhabitants

The sixth of the twelve parallel universes that were first introduced in Dragon Ball Super is called Universe 6 (第6宇宙, Dai roku Uchū), or the Challenging Universe (挑㈦の宇宙, Chōsen no Uchū). Champa, the Angel Vados, and the Supreme Kai Fuwa (フワ) are the God of Destruction. Because Universes 6 and 7 are twin universes, any planets or species that have existed or are likely to havelivedd in Universe 7 will also exist in Universe 6 and vice versa.

75. Botamo

A tall yellow humanoid bear from Universe 6, Botamo (ボタモ, Botamo), has rubber skin that makes it impervious to blows. In the Tournament of Destroyers, he competes against Universe 7 against Goku. Botamo catches Goku by the arm and throws him out of the ring after Goku struggles to land a blow. When Botamo battles Gohan in the Tournament of Power, Gohan’s punches lift him off the ground until Gohan has enough to use the Kamehameha to blast Botamo out of the ring.

76. Caulifla and Kale

Kale (ケール, Kēru) and Caulifla (カリフラ, Karifura) are two Saiyans from Universe 6. They make their debut as Universe 6 representatives in the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. Using a pair of Potara earrings that their universe’s Supreme Kai gave them, they later merge into a single entity known as Kefla (ケフラ, Kefura) during the Tournament, but Goku, in his Ultra Instinct form, ultimately defeats them.

77. Champa

Lord Champa (シャンTournament is the God of Destruction of Universe 6, which is connected to the Seventh Universe as its “twin universe” and Beerus’s twin brother. He and Beerus have a long-standing rivalry and frequently quarrel or participate in one-upmanship activities like proxy wars and food competitions. Champaorganisess a comborganizesition called the Tournament of Destroyers during the Universe 6 Saga. He assembles the most formidable fighters from Universe 6 to take on Universe 7, which is made up of Hit, Cabba, Frost, Botamo, and Auta Magetta.

78. Hit

Hit (ヒット, Hitto) is an assassin from Universe 6 who was first introduced in Dragon Ball Super as the Legendary Assassin (伝説の㮺し屋, Densetsu no Koroshi-ya) and Hit the Infallible (百発百中のヒット, Hyappatsuhyakuchuu no Hitto). He is renowned for his ability to manipulate time with his trademark Time-Skip (時とばし, Toki-Tobashi) and for being able to kill his assassination targets with a single blow. He is the most powerful player on his universe’s team during the Tournament of Destroyers and is more than a thousand years old. In the end, Hit rebels against Champa and defeats himself in the tournament’s final match against Monaka (モナカ), the weakest player on the opposing Universe 7 team, whose real gTournament’sspire Goku.

79. Grand Minister

The father of all twelve Angels and Zeno’s primary advisor and mentor is the Grand Minister (大神官, daishinkan), also referred to as the Grand Priest in Viz’s English manga. He is in charge of welcoming visitors to thesupreme deity’s residential palacey and carrying out Zeno’s orders. The Grand Minister also presided over the Tournament of Power and Zeno Expo as referee.

80. Dyspo

The Pride Troopers’ Sphynx cat-like blitz captain is Dyspo (ディスポ, Disupo). He fights Hit in the Tournament of Power using his super-speed before backing off. In addition to fighting Frieza, Dyspo also battles Gohan, who gives his life to help Dyspo exit the ring.

81. Jiren

Jiren (ジレン), also called “Jiren The Grey” (灰色のジレン, Haiiro no Jiren), is a member of the Pride Troopers. His serene, stoic demeanour gives a glimpse of his reclusive nature; troubled by his previous setbacks, he desperately tries to make amends by forging his path to justice. He fights for justice with no loyalty to anyone but himself because he thinks that trusting others will ultimately backfire. Because he takes so much pride in his strength, Jiren refuses to ask for help from his allies, even in dire circumstances when he is under tremendous pressure from his opponents.

82. Universe 11 inhabitants

The Justice Universe (正義の宇宙, Sēgi no Uchū), also known as Universe 11 (第11宇宙, Dai jūichi Uchū), is the eleventh of the twelve parallel universes that Dragon Ball Super introduced. Universes 2 and 11 are connected as twin universes. The Pride Troopers (プライドトルーパーズ Puraido Torūpāsu) are a formidable superhero team that functions in this universe. They are led by their God of Destruction, and Team Universe 11 as a whole competed in the Tournament of Power, where Team Universe 7 was portrayed as facing their greatest threat due to their combined strength.

83. Vados

Whis’ sister Vados (ヴァドス, Vadosu) is an Angel from Universe 6 who teaches martial arts and serves as Champa’s attendant. Her name, like Whis’s, comes from the alcoholic beverage calvados (カルヴァドス, karuvadosu). She first appears in Dragon Ball Super with Champa as they search for the Super Dragon Balls; before the Tournament of Destroyers, they can acquire six of the seven Super Dragon Balls. Vados publicly expresses worry about Champa’s appearance and health issues, and he frequently makes fun of him for being overweight, claiming that this is the reason for his lack of endurance and inability to keep up with her training. Even when speaking to lesser beings or people outside of her universe, like Goku, she is also shown to be courteous and respectful.

84. Belmod

Belmod (ベルモッド, Berumoddo), also called Vermoud in the English localisation of localizationSuper, is the God of Destruction of Universe 11 and a slim humanoid wearing clown makeup. He is proud of the work done by the Pride Troopers and detests evil. When Belmod retires, he wants Toppo to be the God of Destruction. Marcarita, his martial arts instructor and attendant, is typically with him.

85. Toppo

The tall and muscular leader of the Pride Troopers, who serve as the protectors of peace in Universe 11 and make up the majority of competitors representing Universe 11 in the Tournament of Power, is Toppo (トッポ), also referred to as Top in the English localisation of localizationall Super anime. As the second most powerful mortal in his home universe after Jiren, Toppo is a contender to become the next God of Destruction in Universe 11.

86. Zeno

Grand Zeno (全王, Zen’ō, lit. “King of All”), also known as the Omni-King and the Lord of Everything in Viz’s English manga, is the ultimate deity of the entire Dragon Ball universe. Because he can wipe out whole universes at will, Zeno is portrayed in the series as a childlike humanoid figure who is feared and revered above all other gods and mortals. He receives advice from the Grand Minister and is served by two identical-looking attendants. When he first appears, after the Tournament of Destroyers between Universes 6 and 7, his subjects call him Grand Zeno or the Omni-King in the English dub, and Zen’ō-sama (全王様) in the original Japanese media. One notable exception is Goku, who makes friends with Zeno and calls him “Zen-chan” (全ちゃん in the original Japanese, “Zenny” in the English dub). The majority of the series’ characters consider this to be impolite and impolite, but Zeno soon warmed up to Goku’s outgoing friendliness. There are two coequal Zenos in the “Future” Trunks Saga’s present timeline. Sarah Wiedenheft voices Zeno in English and Satomi Kōrogi in Japanese.

Fandom

Numerous international celebrities and professional athletes have referred to characters from the Dragon Ball series. Critical reception

Carl Kimlinger of Anime News Network (ANN) stated, “Very few anime shows have made it mainstream like Dragon Ball Z has.” For many, it was their first exposure to anime fandom, and its Argentine professional football player Eduardo Salvio often celebrates his goals with gestures and signals that reference the signature attacks of various Dragon Ball characters. Characters are as familiar to a certain generation of television viewers as any in the animation industry. His colleague Allen Divers praised the manga’s humour and plot for capturing each character’s personality. Carlo Santos, who was also from ANN, stated that the Dragon Ball cast “may not be as stylish-looking as today’s shonen adventure protagonists, but every character has a distinctive set of physical features, making them identifiable at any moment [f]ew shows can claim to have a cast quite like Dragon Ball’s, and that’s a testament to the creative genius of Toriyama,” wrote Todd Douglass of DVD Talk. Douglass praised the “deep, insightful, and well-developed” characters as well. Tim Jones of T.H.E.M. Anime Reviews praised the series’ strong characterisationcharacterizationo care about them, and want to get to know more about them. He believed that they were different from stereotypical stock characters, even though he noted that they grow much more in the early part of the series than they do in the later parts.
